I have been so incredibly busy lately... needless to say, my sketch-a-day endeavors have been severely lacking. While I do sketch on most days, they are not making it on here. So for the next few weeks, I am going to develop some of my sketches into fully painted illustrations and take my time. I need the practice on both ends after being away for so long. I only get to paint mostly on the weekends, so I will post my progress as I forge ahead on each new work.
Here is a picture of where I was last week on this watercolor. This is my first watercolor painting and I find that I am laying it on pretty thick - it almost looks like acrylic. It will take a little bit to get use to the medium but I love it so far!! Now, If I can just loosen up and keep it light.
